Rick Comley Jr.
Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator
Rick is in his first season as an Assistant Coach for the Musketeers. Before joining the Sioux City coaching staff, Rick was an assistant coach for the Des Moines Buccaneers for two seasons. Prior to that he was the Mid-West scout during the 2005-06 season with Des Moines. He scouted for the Waterloo Black Hawks in 2004-05. Comley has helped draft, recruit and move 17 players on to Division I college hockey and has also helped develop 6 NHL draft picks that have come through the organization. He's also been an integral part of scouting players the Buccaneers select in the USHL's Futures Draft and is widely respected for his ability to identify talent at a young age. Rick was born and raised in Marquette, Michigan. He is the son of Rick Comley, Sr., who has won over 700 career games as a college hockey coach, and two NCAA titles. Rick Jr. graduated from Michigan State University with a History degree and a Master's in Sports Administration.
Cam Ellsworth
Assistant Coach
Cam grew up playing hockey in Leamington, Ontario and spent two years in Jr’s playing with the Soo Indians of the North American Hockey League. He followed that up with four years of hockey at Michigan Tech University where he played with former Musketeer, Brandon Schwartz. In his four years as a goaltender with the Huskies he set school records for All time number of games played (117) and all time saves leader with 3,510. He was also an Academic All-American through his collegiate career. Cam won the George McCarthy performance award twice, (2002-03, 2004-05), which is awarded for scholastic and athletic achievement.
Following his time at Michigan Tech he spent three years playing pro hockey in the ECHL logging ice time with the Greenville Growl, Stockton Thunder and the Pensacola Ice Pilots. During his time in Stockton, he was a teammate of former Musketeer Ryan Geris.
Cam has been married for three years to his wife Julie, who hails from Hubbell, Michigan. His parents are Karen and Wallace Ellsworth from Leamington, Ontario. He has one sister, Patricia, who was a two-year golf captain at Oakland University in Michigan.
