SIOUX CITY, IOWA—The Musketeers have acquired goaltender Ben Kraws after he was dropped by the Waterloo Black Hawks earlier this week.
Kraws hails from Cranbury, New Jersey and has spent the past three seasons playing for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres who compete in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League and Ontario Junior Hockey League. The 6’3” 17 year old was also selected for the Team USA U-18 team that competed in Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament this past summer. In 2 games played Kraws recorded a 1.95 GAA with a .918 SVS%.
Head Coach Luke Strand has nothing but praise for the young goaltender “The addition of Ben will bring us goaltending depth and future. Ben has been viewed at some of the largest stages for his age group and succeeded. His path of development at the position will grow even more rapidly in Sioux City with Shane Clifford as our goaltending coach and the quality of the USHL. We look forward to having him become part of our family."
To make room for Kraws the Musketeers dropped goaltender Gabriel Vinal from their roster.
