Musketeers home struggles continue against Force

Fargo dominates Sioux City on Military Appreciation Night.

The Sioux City Musketeers honored veterans and currently serving active duty members on Veterans Days with a celebration in which 3,374 fans attended on Saturday night. Fargo started the lead for tonight’s game when Sammy Steele found the back of the net. Sioux City’s Matt Miller answered back with a goal to tie the game at 1-1. The first period ended with 5 shots on goal for the Musketeers and 14 shots on goal for Fargo.

Grant Hebert of Fargo created a gap in the score when he scored a goal 37 seconds into the second period. Following his teammates example, William Fallstrom added another point to the scoreboard to end the second with a score of 3-1.

Dorian Dawson started the third by making a statement for the Musketeers when he fired one passed Fargo’s goaltender, Strauss Mann, making the score . Martin Pospisil got into quite a scuffle with Brian Hurley which resulted in 2 minutes for roughing, 5 minutes for fighting and a game misconduct. Brian Hurley got a 5 minute major and a 10 minute major for fighting as well as teammate Griffin Loughran got a 3rd man in a fight and ejected from the game. Fargo tacked on an empty netter and the final score was 4-2.
