Sioux City, IA-The Sioux City Musketeers announce the hiring of Athletic Trainer, Equipment Manager and Video & Event Manager effective immediately.
The team announced today that the below individuals have joined the club starting effective immediately. The President, Rich Zaber and Head Coach, Luke Strand, are proud to have missing pieces of the organization fulfilled and are excited for the upcoming season to get underway.
Jacqui Gutierrez, Athletic Trainer:
Jacqui joins the team after finishing graduate school at the University of Nebraska Omaha where she fulfilled her clinical rotations with the men’s hockey team and was also performing the clinical rotations with Creighton’s men’s basketball and baseball teams.
Jacqui became a light for the Musketeers when she stepped in after the departure of Kedryn Orrison and helped the team during the Team Orientation Camp held in late July.
Jacqui states “I am excited for this opportunity and feel very thankful for all that the staff and fans have done to welcome me already to this city. Hockey has always been a passion of mine and I’m looking forward to gaining further experience in the athletic training world in hockey.”
Head Coach Luke Strand states "We are excited to add Jacqui to our family as our Athletic Trainer. Jacqui’s experiences will benefit our player’s injury prevention and treatment both on and off the ice.”
Cole Hofmeister, Equipment Manager:
Cole joins the team from being involved in multiple ways with the organization. Cole previously worked for Spectra Management at the Tyson Events Center and also was a part time employee for our game night staff. Cole was a tremendous help and spent lots of hours volunteering over the past couple weeks helping the staff with the Team Orientation Camp, futures and 2004 Pre-Draft I.D. camps.
Cole states: “Ever since I was a kid, I was wanting to be a part of this organization, now seeing my dream come true means a lot. I can’t wait to work for a top-notch organization in the Musketeers and the players, staff and fans that support the organization.”
Coach Strand states “Cole is a hard worker. His passion for Musketeer Hockey will serve well for our team. He brings a wealth of knowledge of the day to day needs with a work ethic to give our hockey family great support.”
Kevin Hurley, Video & Event Manager:
Kevin joins the team now into a full-time roll after spending the past 12 years producing the home video feed for the Musketeers. His duties will now expand to the full game day production, event management and social media needs. Kevin will continue to have his company, Riverbend Video Production, produce the home video feeds.
Kevin states “I look forward to digging deeper into the game day operations and getting to know the players and staff better. I grew up playing hockey in the auditorium and have been watching the Musketeers or being involved in the production for over 30 years now. It is an exciting time with the new scoreboard and ribbon board, and I am looking forward to an exciting year.”
President, Rich Zaber states “Kevin has been a part of this organization for many years and with his knowledge of the video production and technology he will be a great asset to this organization for the needs upcoming.”
