(Kearney, NE) - A strong second period was enough to help Tri City outlast the Sioux City Musketeers 2-1 on Saturday.

Both Tri City goals occurred in the second period as Hunter Strand and Cole McWard scored within a three-minute span. Bennett Schimek was able to get the Musketeers within one goal midway through the third period but it wouldn’t be enough.

Alex Tracy corralled 16 saves in net as Ben Doran tallied his third point in two days. The Musketeers are now 6-8 and welcome Fargo to the Tyson Events Center on Sunday. Puck drop is set for 3:05pm.
