The United States Hockey League has named Ethan Edwards as its Defenseman of the Week for the week ending February 14th. This is Edwards’ first such honor of the season.
Edwards was pivotal to the Musketeers’ success over the past week, picking up a point in three of the team’s four games as Sioux City earned a trio of wins.
The University of Michigan commit scored the first Sioux City goal Tuesday night as part of a 4-2 win over Omaha before being held off the scoresheet in the team’s lone loss of the week Friday night in Sioux Falls.
Edwards closed the weekend with three points in a pair of victories, starting out with a goal and an assist in a 3-1 victory over Lincoln on Saturday. The New Jersey Devils prospect (2020, Round 4 #120) went on to collect an assist as the Musketeers closed out Sioux Falls 4-2 on Sunday.
The Grande Prairie, AB, native has accumulated 12 points this season, including three multi-point games. The Musketeers return to action on Friday, February 19, as they visit the Fargo Force.
