Matchup: This weekend will mark the fourth and fifth meetings of the season between the two squads, with Sioux City getting the better of Fargo in all three prior matchups. The Musketeers doubled up the Force 6-3 on December 29 before skating to two victories at the Tyson Events Center, winning 6-2 on January 10 and 4-2 on January 29. The weekend series will be crucial to the tight Western Conference playoff picture, with second place through sixth place separated by just four points.

About the Force: Fargo enters the weekend sitting first place in the Western Conference with 40 points, seven points ahead of second-place Omaha. The Force are seeking to snap a two-game losing skid after falling twice to Omaha last weekend. Fargo is also seeking their first victory against the Musketeers this season, having been outscored 16-7 over the course of their three meetings. Sioux City is the only Western Conference team that Fargo has not beaten this year. Tristan Broz leads the Force in goals, assists and points (12-19-31) through 32 games this season. Buffalo Sabres draft pick Aaron Huglen recently returned to the Fargo lineup after a 20-month hiatus due to multiple injuries and is off to a torrid start this season, recording eight goals and 11 assists in 17 games. Goaltender Brennan Boynton ranks fourth in the USHL with a 2.44 goals against average, just behind Sioux City’s Akira Schmid. He also possesses a .905 save percentage, good for third-best in the league.
