Musketeers 2015 tender, Eeli Tolvanen commits to Boston College

SIOUX CITY, IA | Sioux City Musketeers returning forward Eeli Tolvanen signs commitment to Boston College.

Eeli Tolvanen is a native of Nummela, Finland standing at an even 6 feet and 181 pounds. Tolvanen has earned 38 points in 49 games, with 17 goals and 21 assists during the 2015-16 season. Sioux City Musketeers had signed Eeli to a tender contract last season, utilizing their 2015 Phase I Draft 1st round pick.

“We are excited for Eeli, he picked a great college and we are excited to have him back in Sioux City for another season,” said Coach Varady. “Boston College has a long tradition of recruiting great players and producing NHL ready talent.”

During the World U17 Hockey Challenge, Eeli skated for team Finland. He compiled 10 points during the 5 contests, scoring 9 goals and 1 assist. He also got the call to help lead team Finland to a gold medal during the IIHF U18 World Championship. Eeli tallied 9 points, scoring 7 goals and 2 assist during 7 games. Eeli earned a spot on the USHL All-Rookie first team roster and is eligible for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
